Isass.exe

Isass.exe is the Local Security Authentication Server; it generates the process responsible for authenticating users for the Winlogon service. Although Isass.exe is a legitimate process, malware can use this filename to deceive users and execute malicious processes. Isass.exe may launch a Trojan that gives attackers remote access to a computer in order to steal passwords, internet banking details and personal data. The malicious version of Isass.exe can be detected and removed with a legitimate anti-virus application.
