Invert Ransomware

The Invert Ransomware belongs to the ransomware malware threats kind. As such, its aim is to infiltrate the victim's computer and then lock the files stored there. The threat can target a large number of filetypes and then render them inaccessible and unusable via an uncrackable cryptographic algorithm. The Invert Ransomware marks all affected files by appending '.fun' to their original names as a new file extension. It then displays its ransom note in a pop-up window generated on the compromised device.

Ransom Note's Overview

The pop-up window allows victims to choose the text of the note via a dropdown menu. The available options are English, French and Arabic. The window also has a button that will show all files encrypted by the threat.

The text of the note states that the hackers want to be paid a ransom of $10 in bitcoins. The money must be transferred within 2 hours or victims will allegedly lose their locked files. For further details, and to receive the decryption key after making the payment, users are directed towards contacting the 'INVERTRANSOME@PROTONMAIL.COM' email address.

'OOPS! ALL YOUR FILES HAS BEEN ENCRYPTED BY INVERT RANSOMEWARE

PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED IN BITCOIN ONLY, CONTACT INVERTRANSOME@PROTONMAIL.COM FOR GETING THE DECRYPTION KEY

Your all files has been encrypted by invert ransomeware, u cannot
get yor files unless you pay 10$ ransome, you will loose your file
in 2 hours unless the payment is not made, your file are encrypted
with special encryption algorithom(AES-256), if u think this is a
joke please check your files, they are encrypted .invert, do not rename
this file named .invert, this activity will loose your files while decrypting
also note that installing special antivirus wont get back your files
but they may damage the encrypted files, if your using a office computer
you are in a big trouble, this ransomeware only ask 10$ as ransome, wishing
you a very very nice day, do not scan or on a special protection program this
may corrupt the encrypted file, and you wont get that back again:)
