Illoxum is an adware infection that is responsible for numerous types of advertisements on the affected computer. Complaints involving Illoxum, claim that this advertisement platform causes affected Web browsers to become nearly useless. This is because Illoxum will interrupt the computer users' activities with pop-up content, browser redirects, mouse-over advertisements and a variety of other types of marketing content. If your Web browser is displaying Illoxum advertisements, this indicates that a Web browser extension was installed on your Web browser. These types of Web browser add-ons are known as Potentially Unwanted Programs or PUPs for short. PUPs are not as unreliable as more risky types of threats but do cause numerous symptoms that are more commonly associated with malware. Because of this, Illoxum and PUPs associated with this advertisement platform should be removed from the affected Web browser immediately.
