Iios Ransomware

The Iios Ransomware is a variant from the STOP/Djvu malware family. It is equipped with the same encryption process largely, and as a result, victims affected by the threat will find themselves unable to access or open most of their documents, PDFs, databases, archives, etc. The data locked by the Iios Ransomware will be used as leverage against the users with the hackers attempting to pressure them into paying a demanded ransom.

Another consequence of the actions of Iios Ransomware is that all encrypted files will now have modified names. Indeed, the threat will add '.iios' as a new extension to the original name of all affected files. Another action performed on the compromised device will be the creation of a new text file. This file will be named '_readme.txt' and its purpose is to deliver the ransom note of the threat.

According to the note, two email addresses and a Telegram account can be used to reach the attackers. The emails are 'restorealldata@firemail.cc' and 'gorentos@bitmessage.ch,' while the Telegram account is '@datarestore.'
