EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

The HotStar Registry Cleaner is a PC maintenance tool developed by Hites Technologies LLC that can be found at www.Hitesav.com. The HotStar Registry Cleaner software comes in three packages - Basic; Premium and Advanced. Depending on your choice you will need to pay from $49,99 to $199,99. You should know that computer experts do not perceive the HotStar Registry Cleaner software as a reliable maintenance tool that can improve your system performance. The HotStar Registry Cleaner has a minimalistic program interface that offers users to scan for missing DLLs, unused file extensions, 'hacking issues,' firewall errors and junk files. However, its analysis showed that the HotStar Registry Cleaner might bring up false results and misleading alerts to convince the user to buy a license for the Advanced package and spend nearly two hundred dollars. This practice is the reason why many security scanners label the HotStar Registry Cleaner as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and you might see alerts like:
- UDS:DangerousObject.Multi.Generic
- Rogue.HotStar
- BehavesLike.Win32.PUP.jm
- HEUR/QVM05.1.Malware.Gen
The HotStar Registry Cleaner may help you delete files permanently and find broken shortcuts. However, the HotStar Registry Cleaner software may not improve your OS performance and cause conflicts in your Registry. The HotStar Registry Cleaner functions similarly to the Zolta Registry Cleaner and Safe PC Cleaner. The HotStar Registry Cleaner will store data in the hidden Temp directory and may not appear in the 'Control Panel' of Windows. Users may find the main executable of the HotStar Registry Cleaner in the program files directory and attempt to delete it. As stated before, the HotStar Registry Cleaner may drop files into several folders, and you will need a credible anti-malware instrument to remove all objects associated with the HotStar Registry Cleaner program.
