The Hi-Lighter browser extension comes from Revizer Technologies Ltd. and may be deployed to users via freeware packages as an optional offer. The Hi-Lighter extension may manifest as a small toolbox colored in yellow that would appear when users mark text, video and images on the Internet. It may provide options to search Bing, Google and Wikipedia for information regarding the marked object. You should know that Revizer Technologies Ltd. is responsible for the deployment of adware, riskware and browser hijackers like Shieldren, Hit-Buzz Ads and Consumer-feedback.net with the goal of earning marketing revenue. The Hi-Lighter browser extension is not an exception and is classified by security researchers as adware. The Hi-Lighter adware is built on the Crossrider platform and may affect Web browser based on Chromium, Internet Explorer and the Mozilla project. The Hi-Lighter adware may use pop-up and pop-under windows to promote products and services, and users may see sponsored materials loaded on banners and ad-boxes that appear on every page they visit.
