Goodsearchez is not a genuine Web browser. As such, it does not possess the necessary tools to present reliable search results to its visitors. Therefore, Goodsearchez redirects the victims’ homepage and search engine to a usually trustable search engine, such as Yahoo, Bing and others. Goodsearchez may interfere with Safari, Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome when inside a computer, which may happen when its user downloads and installs freeware from unchecked sources. Goodsearchez will redirect your search engine every time you try to open your homepage or a new tab.

When security researchers analyzed the Goodsearchez website, they discovered that it is sponsored by a bogus Google Docs extension. The problem with having Goodsearchez installed on a computer is that it is a browser hijacker and these PUPs (Possibly Unwanted Programs) main task is to collect as much data as they can from a hacked computer. The collected data then can be used to perform harmful actions or to be sold to third parties.
