Gboxapp is an adware program, which is sponsored by browser hijackers that are able to prevent victimized web user's from normal Internet surfing. Gboxapp presents itself as a free application; however it can invade the targeted PC not only by using common methods. Gboxapp can enter the corrupted PC packed with other programs. Gboxapp makes surreptitious alterations to the infected computer and results in repeated diversions to search.gboxapp.com and other unsafe web addresses. Gboxapp can replace the homepage or default search engine of the compromised Intrenet browser with search.gboxapp.com, and may install the Gadget Box Toolbar on the hijacked Internet browser without the victim's consent and awareness. Search.gboxapp.com may display changed search results on the hacked web browser. Gboxapp can be dropped and installed from its official website; however, Gboxapp can also proliferate by using freeware and shareware programs that have such applications as Gboxapp incorporated to earn money by using misleading tactics.
