OS(es) Affected: Windows is a questionable website that may fail to present any useful content to its visitors. After all, it appears that this is not one of its prerogatives. Instead, the page falls into the rogue website category and is running browser-based tactics. Visitors who land on risk encountering various, misleading messages designed to mask the true intentions of the site.

When examined by cybersecurity experts, was observed running two different false scenarios. Both versions claim that users must pass a CAPTCHA check but the exact messages shown by the page differ. In the first instance, the site contains an image of a robot accompanied by the following message:

'Click 'Allow if you are not a robot'

The other confirmed version, again, tries to convince users to click the 'Allow' button but this time with a far longer setup:

'Human verification
Are you a human being?
We apologize for the confusion, but we can't quite tell if you're a person or a script. Please don't take this personally. Bots and scripts can be remarkably lifelike these days!
Click Allow and we'll be out of your way

Interacting with itself could trigger forced redirects, taking users to untrustworthy sites, such as At the same time, pressing 'Allow' will result in users being subscribed to the site's push notifications. will have the necessary browser permissions to begin delivering unwanted advertisements to users. The advertisements could prove to be a major nuisance by disrupting the normal activities on the device. However, it is far more necessary for users to keep in mind that advertisements related to such unproven sources could promote additional hoax websites or even unsafe destinations/applications.
