EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Duty-search.xyz is a fake search engine that users are extremely unlikely to rely on for their searches willingly. To generate traffic and promote itself, the site employs an intrusive browser-hijacker application. Such PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) do not wait to be chosen and downloaded by users specifically. Instead, they sneak themselves onto the targeted devices via underhanded distribution methods, including suspicious software bundles or fake installers.
As a consequence of having such a browser-hijacker present on their devices, users will notice that their Web browsers have begun opening an unfamiliar page suddenly, in this case, duty-search.xyz. The promoted website will be set as the browser's homepage, new tab page and default search engine.
As we said, duty-search.xyz is classified as a fake engine, e.g., it cannot deliver any results on its own, as it lacks that functionality completely. The results for the user's searches will instead be taken from a different engine - search.yahoo.com.
PUPs can have additional intrusive capabilities beyond what is obvious immediately. In the background of the system, they could be spying on the user's online activities or collecting various device details silently. The most threatening PUPs can even access information that has been saved into the browser. The dangers are clear, as this data most often includes account credentials, banking details or credit/debit card numbers.
