DNSbot

By GoldSparrow in Malware

DNSbot is a threatening Trojan that tries to obtain root access or administrator-level access to the infected computer in a very stealth manner. DNSbot incorporates itself into the machine's operating system, which makes it hard to notice it's presence. DNSbot can infect a computer when its user uses IRC channels, visit corrupted websites, open infected messages on social media or email attachments, downloads fake video players, bogus codecs, free games, and updates provided by third parties and other delivery techniques used by malware creators. A computer presenting abnormal activities, poor performance Registry changes and Web browser settings modifications may be infected by DNSbot.

AS we said above, the detection of DNSbot is not an easy task. This is what makes security researchers to recommend the use of an updated anti-malware program if the computer users suspect that DNSbot may be the cause of their problems. The anti-malware program will detect DNSbot and it's components, and remove it from the infected computer easy and quickly.
