'DHL - Your Parcel Delivery Arrived Today' Email Scam

Computer users that get an email from the respected logistics company DHL, with the subject' 'DHL - Your Parcel Delivery Arrived Today' should not open it. The email was sent to them by online fraudsters that are trying to obtain their private information. It is very common that cybercriminals use the brand and name of legitimate companies to send these phishing emails because credible computer users may open it and end up providing the information they are looking for.

This specific email alleges that they need a delivery address confirmation because the one they have is not correct. To confirm the address, customers need to download and print an attached 'delivery note' and deliver it to a DHL store. The called 'delivery note' is an HTML file pretending to be an MS Exel document. If the victims open the HTML file, they will be asked to sign in with their login details as a CAPTCHA test. This is how the fraudsters get hold of the victims information.

Login details are not meant to be in the wrong hands because computer users tend to use their username and passwords for multiple accounts and once having it, the con artists may have access to various accounts, including online banking accounts,
