The site has been observed displaying a variation of the 'Your Chrome is severely damaged by 13 Malware' scheme, as well as trying to lure visitors into enabling its push notifications. It is possible that the page changes its behavior based on certain factors, such as the incoming IP addresses and users' geolocation.

The first tactic relies heavily on fake security scares. The site states that the user's Chrome browser has already suffered 62% damage (whatever that may mean) caused by a supposed malware threat. The false alerts continue with baseless claims that the malware is going to leak sensitive information taken from the breached device including messages, photos, social media account details, passwords and more. A countdown timer puts further pressure on the user to immediately follow the instructions provided by Defense-mob.com.

Before users press any buttons on the dubious page, subscribe to any services, or download and install any apps presented as security solutions, they should keep in mind that no website is capable of detecting any malware threats on its own. Indeed, all of the claims made by Defense-mob.com are entirely fabricated and should be ignored. 

The same also applies in the case where the site may show misleading and clickbait messages directing users into pressing the displayed 'Allow' button. This is a common tactic that untrustworthy pages use as a method of getting users to unknowingly subscribe to that site's notifications. 

Afterward, the page will be able to start generating unwanted advertisements on the device. Affected users are likely to be presented with advertisements promoting additional unsafe destinations, fake giveaways, shady adult-oriented platforms, as well as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) with adware, browser hijacker or data-collection functions masquerading as seemingly legitimate applications.
