DailySuperHeros

DailySuperHeros is a nasty adware application that is targeting Mac users. Many may be taken by surprise when suddenly they see numerous advertising pages associated with DailySuperHeros begin to pop up in their browser. The advertisements could appear as a second window whenever a new tab is opened in the affected browser. Alternatively, DailySuperHeros could proceed to generate intrusive advertisements at regular intervals on its own.

It should be noted that adware often hides the fact that it is being installed by using deceptive and manipulative distribution techniques. The reliance on such dubious tactics classifies these applications as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs). The best defense against PUPs is to always pay attention when installing new applications. PUPs are oftentimes injected into the installation process of other programs as a preselected choice located under the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' settings. Another popular tactic is the PUP to be disguised as an installer/updater for a popular software product.

While PUPs are not considered serious threats and the immediate result of their activity being diminished on the affected device severely, caution should still be exercised. The generated advertisement materials could display questionable content or redirect the user to unsafe third-party domains. At the same time, the PUP could be tracking various data related to the user's browsing habits.
