Coupon Pigeon is an adware application, which installs a toolbar to any hacked web browser like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. The main goal of Coupon Pigeon is to show special offers and coupons for different websites the web user visits, including but not limited to Walmart, Best Buy, Petsmart, and Toys R Us. Coupon Pigeon also grabs information about the affected Internet user's web browsing habits, some of which might be unrecognizable. Coupon Pigeon may also be packed with or ask for the installation of such applications as search engine toolbars. Commonly, PC users install the Coupon Pigeon browser extension inadvertently; it is embedded into compromised Internet browser by duping victims into doing it. Coupon Pigeon comes packed with adware, such as freeware or shareware programs.
