Coupon Genie
Coupon Genie is an adware application that is produced by '215 Apps'. Coupon Genie illustrates pop-up advertisements, sponsored links and offer coupons via a pop-up box on Walmart, Amazon, Ebay and other online shopping websites that Internet users are visiting. These pop-up ads will be shown as boxes, which include numerous coupons that are available or as underlined keywords, which, if clicked, will display a pop-up advertisement that states it comes to the attacked computer owner from Coupon Genie. Coupon Genie is an add-on for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome that is usually embedded when the PC user installs other free applications. When the web user installs these free applications, they will also install Coupon Genie on the corrupted PC. While being installed, Coupon Genie will illustrate a box carrying relevant ads, sponsored links and keyword suggestions in the right top part of the hijacked Internet browser, whenever the victim will surf Best Buy, Expedia, Facebook or any other similar websites.
