However, this is a bogus site whose goal is to spread the AZORult Trojan. The creators of the AZORult Trojan have jumped on the Coronavirus train and attempted to spread this nasty threat to innocent users who are just seeking more information regarding the virus that is plaguing the world currently. According to the website, users need to download and install an application that will provide them with a map that contains information regarding various Coronavirus statistics in different corners of the world.

Most users who reported the Corona-virus-map.com application have received phishing emails that contained a link to download the bogus application apparently. However, it is likely that the authors of the AZORult Trojan are propagating this nasty threat via other infection vectors too. However, you do not need to install third-party applications to get relevant information regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, as there are already plenty of legitimate websites online dedicated to the virus that are free to use.
