Click Togo is an intrusive browser extension that instead of trying to provide its users with useful and convenient features, is mostly concerned with causing unwanted redirects to a promoted website. Indeed, as most users who have Click Togo installed on their computers would have quickly realized, the application is little more than another browser hijacker.

Browser hijackers are often involved in the promotion of dubious or fake search engines, and Click Togo is not an exception. After installation, the application will take over several important browser settings (homepage, new tab page, and default search engine) and modify them to open the togosearching.com address, a fake search engine. Users would notice that whenever the affected browser is launched, a new tab is opened, or a search is initiated via the browser's URL tab, it would always result in a redirect to the promoted page.

As for togosearching.com, it is a search engine that cannot perform any search activities on its own. When users try to search for something, the query will be redirected to other engines. Depending on certain factors, such as the user's geolocation, browser type, IP address, and possibly more, the behavior of the togosearching.com may change. For example, it has been observed to show search results from Google, or cause redirect chains that pass through dubious addresses, such as my-search.com and tafficjunction.com before finally arriving at the legitimate Bing search engine.

Users also should keep in mind that browser hijackers often have data-tracking capabilities as well. The intrusive applications may be spying on the browsing activities carried out on the system. Furthermore, they may try to obtain specific device details or even sensitive banking/payment information that has been saved into the affected browsers.
