EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

The CleanBlocker browser extension is presented to users as a convenient way to reduce the advertisements they encounter while browsing the Internet, as well as stop websites from tracking their activities. However, when analyzed by infosec researchers, CleanBlocker revealed the opposite functionality. Once installed by users, the application is designed to generate and deliver unwanted and intrusive advertisements, which classifies it as adware. In addition, one of the distribution channels for the application is via deceptive and untrustworthy websites, making it a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program), as well.
Adware applications can have a considerable impact on the devices they are active on. The frequently generated advertisements could impact the user experience negatively by interrupting the normal activities carried out on the system. More importantly, advertisements delivered by unproven sources are commonly observed to promote untrustworthy destinations - fake giveaways, phishing tactics, technical support frauds, shady adult sites, platforms spreading more PUPs, etc.
Users also risk having their data monitored, packaged, and transmitted to the operators of the specific PUP. Information, such as their browsing history, search history, clicked URLs, IP addresses, geolocation, and sometimes even account credentials or banking details, could be exfiltrated continuously.
