The ads by Cartt in your browser may appear after installing a freeware package you downloaded from the Internet. These advertisements are generated by the Cartt shopping assistant, and you are not advised to install because it is adware. Security investigators report that the Cartt adware may display numerous commercials in your browser and use tracking cookies to detect your approximate geographical location. The Cartt shopping assistant may claim to allow users to shop with many discounts and share findings via email and social media, but its only objective is to generate affiliate marketing revenue for its creators. The Cartt aware may place banners, coupons, special offers and show floating ads on web pages you visit by using JavaScript and ActionScript3. The Cartt adware is developed with the idea of being cross-compatible and might affect Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. The Cartt adware may appear as a browser plug-in and read your browsing and download history to help advertisers deliver customized advertising content and maximize efficiency. The Cartt adware may redirect you to harmful domains where exploit kits like Glazunov and Sibhost could be located.
