Brosive.com is a fake search engine with a bold boast; this malicious website features the headline 'You Know You Want It.' While Brosive.com carries out the same scam as countless other bogus search engines (that is, delivering spam and advertisements instead of legitimate search results), it also carries out another scam, by asking visitors for their email address, which criminals can then use to send out spam email and to try to compromise the victim's email account. Brosive.com uses an unconventional design that is quite convincing; however, a close looks revealed that Brosive.com's layout has been cobbled by plagiarizing components of popular humor websites in order to give Brosive.com a more authentic look. At its core, Brosive.com is designed for nothing more than to generate advertising revenue by taking advantage of its visitors, who are forced to arrive at Brosive.com because of a dangerous browser hijacker infection.
