Bousthane.com

Bousthane.com is a rogue website designed to proliferate a popular browser-based tactic. It relies on deceptive alerts or warning messages to trick users into subscribing to its push notification services. Bousthan.com is hardly a unique occurrence as there are countless websites virtually identical to it in behavior and purpose that have already been put on the Internet.

Visitors who land on the site are presented with a video window. By exploiting the user's curiosity, the site states prominently that the only way to watch the video is to click the 'Allow' button. Doing so will grant the site broad browser permissions, which it will then abuse to run an intrusive advertising campaign.

Various advertisements will be delivered to the affected device. They might take the form of annoying pop-ups that cover any legitimate content or banners, coupons, in-text links and more. In most cases, closing the browser will not be enough to stop the ads from appearing. Users will have to revoke the permissions granted to Bousthane.com via the appropriate menu, usually under 'Permissions' or 'Notifications.'

Users are advised to exercise caution when dealing with the advertisements delivered by Bousthane.com. The advertisements could display clickbait messages to entice the user into clicking on them. Then, via forced redirects, they could open questionable or outright unsafe third-party websites, including phishing pages, scam giveaways, etc.
