Bothlok.com
Bothlok.com is a website that cannot be trusted as it promotes rogue security software such as PcSecureNet. Users that land on Bothlok.com have already been infected with a stealthy Trojan in cahoots with the website. The Trojan inserts Bothlok.com into the Hosts file, causing a victim's browser to be constantly redirected to Bothlok.com. Once a user visits Bothlok.com, a bogus online scan will be run and a fake page revealing your hard drives and system directories will be displayed.
This scan is not to be trusted; if you look closer you will notice that the drives and directories displayed on the scan page are not from your PC. When the scan results are produced, the user will be advised to purchase the "full version" of PcSecureNet in order to remove the alarming number of threats purportedly found on the PC. Use a reliable computer security tool to completely remove Bothlok.com and any other malware on your PC.
