BlockAll

The BlockAll browser extension also encountered as 'BlockAll - block ads,' advertises itself as a convenient tool that will improve users' browsing experience by reducing the number of advertisements encountered on the Internet significantly. Unfortunately, once installed on the system the true colors of the application are revealed almost instantly - BlockAll is an intrusive ad-supported program that cybersecurity experts have classified as being adware. Indeed, the application is designed to deliver various intrusive advertisements on the systems it is installed on, likely generating profits for its operators in the process.

When dealing with the advertisements delivered by adware, hoax websites, or other similarly untrustworthy sources, users should always exercise caution. The advertisements could employ various clickbait or social-engineering tactics to appear more enticing or legitimate than they actually are. Furthermore, by interacting with them, users could trigger forced redirects leading to questionable destinations.

The advertisements also may promote intrusive PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) disguised as seemingly convenient software products. Keep in mind that even if the promoted application is real, it is probably being used by con artists in an attempt to earn illegitimate commission fees.

The chances of BlockAll also possessing data-tracking capabilities should not be underestimated. Such PUPs are known for spying on users' browsing activities and transmitting the data to their operators. It is quite common for PUPs to also collect numerous device details that are also exfiltrated to a remote server.
