EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

Users may try to use the BestMapSearch browser extensions as a useful tool to find relevant and accurate maps for their current location. Unfortunately, the main functionality of the application is something completely different. Indeed, BestMapSearch is created primarily to promote a sponsored address via intrusive browser-hijacker techniques.
Once installed on the users' devices, this PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) will assume control over the available Web browsers and modify several essential settings. For example, users will notice redirects to an unfamiliar address that will begin occurring every time they launch an affected browser, open a new tab, or use the URL bar to initiate a search. It will quickly become obvious that BestMapSearch has substituted the current homepage, new tab page, and default search engine with a new, promoted address - 'bestmapsearch.com.'
Users should keep in mind that bestmapsearch.com is classified as a fake search engine, meaning that it is incapable of producing results on its own. Cybersecurity researchers have confirmed that the initiated searches will be redirected to additional sources. Users could be presented with results taken from the legitimate Yahoo search engine, but this is not guaranteed. Based on certain parameters, such as the specific IP address and geolocation, bestmapssearch.com could redirect to dubious engines, such as nearbyme.io, and show low-quality results that are likely to have various sponsored advertisements injected into them.
PUPs also are notorious for spying on users' browsing activities. The invasive applications may collect the browsing history, search history, browser type, IP address, device type and potentially more data. In some cases, PUPs may even try to access account credentials or banking details saved as autofill data into the affected browsers.
