Almost any regular user online has the Adobe Flash Player application installed on their system. Due to its popularity, this software tool has been used in numerous shady operations online throughout the years. Among the newest pages, that utilizes this old trick, is the website.

This dodgy page is capable of detecting what Web browser you are using to know how to proceed with the operation. If your Web browser signals that you are a Windows user, you will see a pop-up window that is designed to look like a real notification from the Windows OS. However, if you are a Mac user, the site will display an alert that has the same design and colors as a genuine pop-up that OSX may spawn. This is a clever trick that increases the chances of the user falling for this scam significantly. Users who are browsing low-quality websites in search for videos to watch are likely to come across the page.

This dubious website displays a bogus video player that appears to be loading the media that the user wants to see. Next, the site will spawn a pop-up window (different for Windows and OSX users), which will state that they need to download and install an update for the Adobe Flash Player and if they do not accede they will not be able to see the video that the site is pretending to host. However, we assure you that there is no video to be seen, as this fake site does not host any valuable content.
