Application.Maybe_RogueAV is a generic detection for malware that promotes rogue security applications. Once Application.Maybe_RogueAV has penetrated a system, it will run a fake system scan that will display alarming results of several malware infections. The scan will be followed by a series of irritating pop-ups and warnings, recommending the user to purchase a certain fake security program in order to remove all the detected infections. Users should not be fooled by the fake system scan and virus alerts; Application.Maybe_RogueAV is an untrustworthy program that should be removed promptly.
