AntiSpy Safeguard Image
AntiSpy Safeguard (AntiSpySafeguard) is a rogue anti-spyware which is typically distributed by sneaky Trojans. AntiSpy Safeguard can also be downloaded from malicious websites or it may come bundled with other malware such as Trojans. Once AntiSpy Safeguard is inside a computer system, it will generate numerous security alerts in an attempt to convince the victim that his/her system in infected. Should a user click on the fake security alerts or scan reports displayed by AntiSpy Safeguard he/she will be redirected to a malicious website which lists 35 different security programs to choose from as a solution to the computer infections. Five of the listed programs are rogues including; Red Cross Antivirus, Peak Protection 2010, Pest Detector 4.1, Major Defense Kit, AntiSpySafeguard.
The victim will be pressured into purchasing the "full version" of AntiSpy Safeguard, or the other listed rogueware, in order to remove all the purportedly detected malware. Task Manager, Registry Editor and safe mode may also be blocked in order to prevent the manual detection and removal of the threat. Users should not believe any security notifications displayed by AntiSpy Safeguard. This is a useless program that can neither detect nor remove computer malware so do not throw away your money by attempting to purchase this rogue.
