Typically, users do not open such pages willingly and are often taken there as a result of forced redirects. Afterward, they could adjust the deceptive content they show.
When infosec researchers examined the Alltimesecuritysystem.live website, they come across a variation of the 'Your PC might be infected with viruses!' tactic. This scheme involves showing unsuspecting visitors numerous, fake security alerts or warnings. The fabricated messages will be presented as if coming from reputable sources, which in this case is the Norton Security. Of course, the real Norton and NortonLifeLock Corp. are in no way associated with these dubious websites. Another commonly used tactic is for the questionable page to pretend to run a threat scan of the user's device. The scan will always detect various, supposedly serious issues and malware threats. In reality, all of the shown results are completely fake and should just be ignored.
The goal of these tactics is to earn revenue for their operators via commission fees.
