EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

AdTools, also known as PUP.Adtool, is a potentially unwanted program, which may be inadvertently downloaded on a PC packaged with other free software products. AdTools can also be called as an adware because it depends on the deceitful delivery methods and carries out unwanted actions as soon as it penetrates into the computer system. PUP.Adtool may substitute the default homepage, search system and a new tab page, interrupt the computer user's web search sessions with disturbing pop-up ads, distribute additional unsafe applications, and lead to irritating browser redirects on any browser to affiliated commercial websites. PUP.Adtool may be installed on the PC just like any other program. However, PUP.Adtool may also emerge on the PC out of nowhere. PUP.Adtool may be embedded into freeware and shareware programs, and come as an additional download. Web users should be more attentive to the installation process of freeware and shareware applications and deselect all unfamiliar components. If AdTools invades the computer, there is a big possibility that soon the PC user will find the relevant toolbar on the browser.
