Adskip Pro

Adskip PRO is advertised by its operators as a helpful application that installs as a browser extension and blocks advertisements on YouTube and Google. Supposedly, Adskip PRO blocks more than 120 ad trackers. However, in fact, this is a Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA) that does the opposite - it generates undesired advertisements and displays them directly on the user’s desktop. Due to its functionalities, Adskip PRO can be classified as advertising-supported software.

Applications like this typically spread through a deceptive method known as “bundling” – they get embedded into the installers of other programs. Pop-ups and advertisements displayed by Adskip PRO might be used to promote online tactics, websites encouraging users to download potentially unsafe software and other possibly unsafe sites. Moreover, Adskip PRO advertisements may spread other PUAs designed to run corrupted scripts and even download various malware threats.

Furthermore, Adskip PRO can read and change data on all visited websites so that the PUA’s owners can collect sensitive user data and sell it to third parties or monetize it in other ways. In any case, Adskip PRO is an application that cannot be trusted and should be removed through an anti-malware program as soon as possible.
