The AdBlockerr software claims to block adware and pop-ups to block cyber threats from endangering your PC and can be found on AdBlockerr.com and in freeware bundles. The AdBlockerr software apparently derives its name from AdBlock by Michael and Katie Gundlach to earn credibility. However, the original AdBlock extension from Gundlach aims to block ads while the AdBlockerr software from Howard Software Ltd seeks to block the native ads on pages you visit and show only commercials from sponsors.
Moreover, the AdBlockerr software gathers information like your browser type, bookmarks, visited websites, IP address and uses tracking cookies to deliver customized marketing content. The AdBlockerr app reads the HTTP header of pages you visit and may place banners and inline ads loaded with similar content from sponsors. Security experts deem AdBlockerr as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is very similar to Desktop Bar that is deployed by Howard Software Ltd too.
The AdBlockerr software may take the form of a browser plug-in to work with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Users may notice the entry of AdBlockerr in the 'Programs and Features' module of Windows. Also, the AdBlockerr program may edit your browser and Windows Registry settings to change your default search engine to FastDailyFind.com that is associated with a browser hijacker.
AdBlockerr is not digitally signed and could be perceived as a liability that might slow down your browser and provide advertisers with extensive information on your browsing habits. Therefore, you may want to use a reliable anti-spyware tool to remove AdBlockerr from your PC securely.
