EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.

The ZoomIt app was initially part of a Microsoft software alliance, but it transitioned to being an open-source project. Presently, the ZoomIt app is developed by Mark Russinovich as a free tool for making desktop screenshots. The development of a free application such as the ZoomIt app often requires the finance support of advertisers and users who installed the app may experience numerous advertisements in their web browser. The operations of ZoomIt provides reasoning to classify it as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may present users with banners, pop-ups, in-text hyperlinks and ad boxes that overlap the native ads on web pages. Computer users that have installed the ZoomIt app may want to think about whether to keep it or remove it as a PUP with the services of a credible anti-spyware tool.
