ZoneTrek is adware that may show unwanted pop-up advertisements when PC users are using major search provider websites. ZoneTrek may install itself as a browser extension, plug-in, add-on or a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in the Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. When installed, ZoneTrek may display random pop-up ads and messages if the PC user searches online by injecting or adding them in search results of any legitimate search engine and various other websites that may use third-party advertising. The pop-up advertisements and messages of ZoneTrek may contain sponsored links that may redirect PC users to unreliable websites that were designed to possibly make money from clicks on commercial advertisements and banners and raised traffic of the website.
