The Your Speed Test Now program from h[tt]p://yourspeedtestnow[.]com/SpeedTest? is an ad-supported product by Polarity Technologies Ltd. that is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The Your Speed Test Now program is packed as a browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. However, you will not find Your Speed Test Now on the official Mozilla Add-Ons platform and the IE Gallery. You can download Your Speed Test Now from the Chrome Web Store via Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/your-speed-test-now/pcdmomiobnlhoklnloeilmileelpcilp. Installing Your Speed Test Now in Chrome requires you to provide the following privileges:
- Read and change all your data on the websites you visit.
- Replace the page you see when opening a new tab.
- Manage your apps, extensions and themes.
Installing the Your Speed Test Now app in Mozilla Firefox requires you to grant the following rights:
- Access your data for all websites.
- Access browser tabs.
- Monitor extension usage and manage themes.

The new tab provided by Your Speed Test Now may include links to resources on Fcc.gov/research-reports/guides/, Broadbandchoices.co.uk/guides/speed/ and Openspeedtest.com. PC users that launch search queries from the Your Speed Test Now New Tab are redirected to Ssearch.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=adk&hsimp=yhs-adk_sbyhp&p=[search terms] and their browsing history, installed extensions; themes; Web apps, as well as browsing activity, may be collected by Polarity Technologies Ltd. for marketing purposes.
