Many fraudsters online rely on emails to run various tactics. One of the latest examples of such shady activity is the 'Your Device Was Not Properly Secured' email scam. It would appear that the 'Your Device Was Not Properly Secured' email scam first started making rounds in May 2020.

The 'Your Device Was Not Properly Secured' email scam claims that the user needs to pay $525 in Bitcoin if they want to stop the fraudsters from leaking their data. The conmen behind the 'Your Device Was Not Properly Secured' email scam provide the user with their cryptocurrency wallet's address.

It is crucial to underline the fact that the con-artist, responsible for the 'Your Device Was Not Properly Secured' email scam, are not telling the truth – there is no data collected from you. This is all a bluff, and there is no point in paying the fee the fraudsters demand from you. Simply report the sender of the email and delete the message from your inbox.
