- Yourdailytrailer.yournewtab[.]com
- Chrome.google[.]com/webstore/detail/your-daily-trailer/edaiejofkjoolebkceoecjgpchnfhjnf
Both pages claim that the Your Daily Trailer app is "The Must-Have Chrome New Tab for Movie Fans!" and "...you can watch exciting new trailers from your New Tab page!." PC users can download and benefit from the Your Daily Trailer extension for free. However, Your Daily Trailer is a product of APN, LLC. that is developed with the support of advertising networks. When you add the Your Daily Trailer widget to your Internet client you will be invited to grant the following rights:
- Read and change all your data on the websites you visit.
- Manage your apps, extensions and themes.
The Your Daily Trailer is designed to change the layout of your new tab page so that it loads a customized version of Mysearch.com that is associated with cases of browser hijacking. The Your Daily Trailer app is programmed to force your browser to load Search.mysearch.com/?gct=tab&o=APN12074, but you do not need to install the extension to access the site. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer can load Search.mysearch.com/?gct=tab&o=APN12074 without the need for Your Daily Trailer to be installed. You might wonder why a new tab replacement would need access to your apps, extensions, and themes, and that is because the program is ad-supported. Advertisers who partner with APN, LLC. may use the Your Daily Trailer extension to acquire information like your Internet history, a list of installed extensions, apps and themes. The information may be used to deliver promotional materials via Search.mysearch.com/?gct=tab&o=APN12074. Web surfers may be suggested to disable extensions like 'uBlock Origin,' which can interfere with the work of Your Daily Trailer. The Your Daily Trailer software is perceived as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that can report your device ID, your IP address, your clicks on Search.mysearch.com/?gct=tab&o=APN12074, browsing history, and software configuration to third parties for market development purposes. You should remove all files related to the Your Daily Trailer extension using a credible anti-spyware tool.
