YahooChrome

The YahooChrome program that you may find in the AppData directory is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by computer security experts. The YahooChrome software lacks an official site, social media presence, a video channel and any presentation on the Internet that can be obtained by PC users who are looking to find out more about YahooChrome. The program at hand is reported to arrive on computers via means of software bundles where free tools, trial versions of paid applications, browser hijackers, and adware may be packed in a single installer. YahooChrome should not be associated with the legitimate services from Yahoo Inc.

The name of the software — YahooChrome — serves as nothing more than a front for a questionable application that runs on Windows without providing users with a GUI (General User Interface) and uninstall options. Computer security experts have alerted that YahooChrome is designed to write a Registry key and boot with Windows. However, you will not find the name “YahooChrome” listed in the Task Manager and the Task Scheduler. The YahooChrome program is observed to create and load a local service named "saiyi technology limi," which is seen to receive and upload data via insecure connections. The network transmissions of YahooChrome via the "saiyi technology limit" service are said to include the user’s Internet history logs, installed browser extensions, downloads log, approximate geographic location and Windows version number. YahooChrome may be used by third parties to inject advertisements in your default Internet client, as well as download trialware on your system automatically. You may want to terminate the activity of YahooChrome on your device and delete related files with a credible anti-spyware scanner.
