The WorldofNotes Toolbar is a product of Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. that is packed as a browser add-on for users who surf the Internet with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The official page for the WorldofNotes Toolbar by Mindspark can be found at Worldofnotes.com/index.jhtml. The WorldofNotes Toolbar can be added to Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox via Worldofnotes.com/index.jhtml, but you will need to give your consent to the WorldofNotes Toolbar manage your default search, homepage and new tab page. The version for Google Chrome can be found on the Chrome Web Store at Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/worldofnotes/mhknmlpenoheheeoponmdefinacpmagc. The WorldofNotes Toolbar is said to allow users make quick notes and keep them on their new tab and homepage.
However, the WorldofNotes Toolbar is an ad-supported product, and it changes your search settings to make Hp.myway.com/worldofnotes/ttab02/index.html your primary search provider. The same page is what powers your new tab by WorldofNotes. The search engine at Hp.myway.com/worldofnotes/ttab02/index.html is a customized version of Myway.com and allows Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. to earn ad revenue from redirecting users to search results at Int.search.myway.com, which includes ads generated via Google AdWords. The WorldofNotes Toolbar requires the following privileges to run correctly:
- Read and change all your data on the websites you visit.
- Read and change your browsing history.
- Manage your downloads.
- Manage your apps, extensions and themes.
Additionally, Web surfers are suggested to add the 'Search Extension by Ask' from Ask.com, which asks for elevated rights that grant Ask.com access to your downloads log, Internet history, extensions, and take control of your primary search provider. PC users who installed the WorldofNotes Toolbar are not required to add the 'Search Extension by Ask' app if they wish to benefit from all features at Hp.myway.com/worldofnotes/ttab02/index.html. In fact, you can use the page on Hp.myway.com/worldofnotes/ttab02/index.html without installing the WorldofNotes Toolbar.
