Win-live-care.com
Win-live-care.com is a criminal website that promotes and distributes the rogue anti-spyware application Windows Defender 2010. Other malicious websites in the same family as Win-live-care.com include: Securitypccare.com, Pc-livecare.com and Pc-livecare2010.com. Win-live-care.com may be encountered by users that have been infected with fake security software or it can be placed into users' browsers by Browser hijacking Trojans.
Once a user has landed on Win-live-care.com, a fake scan will be conducted and bogus security alerts or pop-up warnings will also be displayed in order to convince the user that his/her system is infected. The user will then be prompted to purchase the "licensed" version of Windows Defender 2010 to remove all the detected threats. Do not fall for this scam and never trust anything on Win-live-care.com.
