The WinExpand program from CJ Mooter Inc. is promoted on the Korean website Winexpand.kr as a reliable alternative to the built-in AeroPeak feature of Windows 7 that allows users to switch between program interfaces quickly. The WinExpand program is built for 32-bit systems and may not work properly on 64-bit Windows computers. You should know that WinExpand does not have a valid digital certificate and is supported by advertisers. Security analysts perceive the WinExpand application as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may import several registry keys from Windows and show many ads. Moreover, the WinExpand program may allow advertisers to read your Internet history logs and detect your approximate geographical location to display customized advertisements.
The WinExpand program may alter the way your 'Show Desktop' toolbar works and display your opened programs in a card deck style. The WinExpand program may install a browser plug-in to show ads from sponsors as you surf the Internet. The WinExpand program may show pop-up windows and contextual advertisements on your favorite websites to make sure that sponsored content would be brought to your attention. The WinExpand program may be found in the Program Files directory of Windows and work as a background service. The WinExpand program may slow your PC and cause your Web browser to crash occasionally. The settings panel of the WinExpand program is available only in Korean, and some users may have trouble setting their preferences right without the help of a translation tool. You may want to remove the WinExpand application and use AeroPeak instead. You can delete all files related to WinExpand with the help of a credible anti-spyware tool.
