Windows Stable Work
Programs like Windows Stable Work are harmful rogue security programs known as scareware. There are several programs that are identical toWindows Stable Work, including Windows Stability Alarm, Windows Antidanger Center and Windows Verifying Center. These programs disguise themselves as authentic Windows monitoring tools and try to convince the user that there is a problem with the computer system. They do this by using scripts and Trojans to affect the computer's performance and by pestering the user with false alerts. The main goal of this kind of application is eventually to convince the scared user to pay for a supposedly effective version of the program to remove those fake threats from the system.

Recognizing other Programs in the Windows Stable Work Family
Rogue security programs in the Windows Stable Work family can be recognized by their common interface, which is identical from one program to the next. The interface only differs in everything pertaining to the program's name, in all other respects it is the same every time. The interface has a central section which displays a list of false problems with the hard drive, file system and CPU. There is a column with percentage ratings to the right of it, and almost every one of the ratings will be in red and with a very low number. On the left, below the Windows Stable Work name and logo, there is a total computer performance rating, which invariably will be below 30 percent. The program will pester the user with constant notifications to fix the supposed instability in the hard drive. To fix the hard drive, the user would have to click on the icon on the lower right side of the window. This icon links to what the program claims is an advanced version of Windows Stable Work. Clicking on this icon will show window where the user will be asked for his credit card information. Considering that Windows Stable Work does not have any way of improving system performance, entering one's credit card information is not a good idea. If you have entered your credit card information into Windows Stable Work, call your credit card company as soon as possible to block the charges.
If the Scan is Fake, Why is Your Computer Acting Strangely?
While the scans that Windows Stable Work runs are complete nonsense, your computer is infected with a malicious program: Windows Stable Work itself. This program uses a Trojan to get into your computer, and then uses harmful Trojans and scripts to cause many issues on your computer. Windows Stable Work has been known to block programs, access to the Internet and real anti-spyware utilities on the system. It will also cause the system to become slow and unresponsive. Windows Stable Work can be very hard to remove without a proper anti-spyware application. To remove Windows Stable Work manually, one needs to fix the registry, delete all associated files, including .dll files, fix the browser settings and run multiple virus scans to make sure there are no traces of Windows Stable Work on the system.
