Win32:Sirefef-ZT

Win32:Sirefef-ZT is a Trojan with the Sirefef rootkit functionalities. Win32:Sirefef-ZT conceals itself on the infected machine so that it could not be detected and removed by security applications. Win32:Sirefef-ZT injects a malicious code into genuine Windows processes so that it may not seem to be as harmful. Win32:Sirefef-ZT enables cybercriminals to obtain full remote access and control over the corrupted PC. Win32:Sirefef-ZT gathers confidential information and credentials such as user names and passwords, and transfers them to an external server. Win32:Sirefef-ZT enters the vulnerable computer without a victim's awareness and operates secretly on the targeted PC. Win32:Sirefef-ZT also downloads potentially malevolent files and modifies the Windows Registry so that it can load automatically every time you start Windows.
