Win32/Rovnix.gen!B is a Trojan that spreads with the help of another Trojan from the same family of malware threats. Win32/Rovnix.gen!B proliferates via hijacked websites, spam emails including malicious attachments, IM programs, and social networking websites. Win32/Rovnix.gen!B can also circulate via infectious web-links and files downloaded from unsafe sources. When Win32/Rovnix.gen!B accesses and takes over the computer system, it downloads numerous malevolent files, by locating some of them on Windows System folder. Win32/Rovnix.gen!B also makes modifications to the Windows Registry by changing the registry entries allowing it to launch automatically whenever the PC user boots up Windows. Win32/Rovnix.gen!B may also alter Windows NTFS file system to initiate other malware threats on every boot-up of the computer system.
