Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA is a BitCoin Miner Trojan. Bitcoin is an online currency. To be able to generate Bitcoins, computer users have to enable the harmful application, similar to Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA, to use computer resources to solve various issues. The computer user's PC will serve as an add-on of Bitcoin server, thus raising its power and security. Personal computer cannot generate enough power alone because Bitcoin uses a large amount of CPU resources. To have more Bitcoins, the PC user should have a lot of powerful computers to work out on mathematical problems. This is most likely the reason why Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA was produced by web attackers. Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA was made to take over the vulnerable PCs and use them to mine Bitcoins. In return, the attacker will collect Bitcoins earned at the expense of hacked PCs. Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA is delivered through social networking websites and Skype as a message carrying web-links leading to the location of Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA. If the PC user clicks on the link, the code of Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA, is installed onto the targeted PC. When Win32:BitCoinMiner-CA starts its Bitcoin Mining activity, it consumes a large amount of memory resources and computing power, thus leading to slow downs of the corrupted PC.
