The Walmeris application is advertised as a helpful shopping companion that will provide you with attractive deals and coupons, but in reality, it is adware. The Walmeris adware may arrive on your PC as an additional component of a freeware installer that you carelessly handled with the 'Express' or 'Typical' option. Once the Walmeris adware is on your PC, it can monitor your browsing history, read the metada of pages you visit and record your search terms to display related advertisements. The primary objective of the Walmeris adware is to monetize your clicks on banners, pop-up and pop-under windows loaded with ads in order to generate pay-per-click revenue for its creators. Also, the Walmeris adware may feature links to potentially harmful locations where your cyber security could be at risk. Needless to say, you are not advised to visit suspicious online locations and tolerate adware that may expose you to corrupted advertisements. You may wish to know that the Walmeris adware may use a browser extension, an add-on, and a Browser Helper Object as well as a plugin to manipulate your web browser settings and execute its operations. Also, the Walmeris adware may record your browsing history and detect your approximate geographical location to display custom-made ads.
