Wallet Genius is an adware threat that, upon installation on a computer, may generate and show unwanted pop-up ads on a PC while PC users are browsing the Web. Wallet Genius may spread and install itself onto the computer system as an extra tool bundled with free software that computer users can downloaded from suspicious download websites. If the PC is affected by Wallet Genius, some hyperlinks may be shown on the websites when computer users surf the Internet. When the PC user hovers a mouse over these words, Wallet Genius with the text 'Ads by Wallet Genius' may be shown. Wallet Genius may unwillingly reroute computer users to affiliated websites if they click on them. The authors of Wallet Genius may gain benefit from affiliate links, raised web traffic and ad clicks.
