Vista Guardian 2010
Vista Guardian 2010 is rogueware from the same family as Win 7 Antispyware 2010 and Vista Antispyware 2010. These rogue security applications are able to change their names according to the Operating System found running on a compromised PC. The trial version of Vista Guardian 2010 is able to enter a PC without a user's permission, via Trojan that can exploit existing vulnerabilities. Vista Guardian 2010 uses scare tactics that involve the displaying of fake security alerts and pop-up windows, as well as the running of a bogus system scans that automatically detect malware on a compromised PC. Following the numerous security notifications, the victim will be advised to purchase the "full version" of Vista Guardian 2010 in order to remove the threats. No matter how many security alerts are displayed, Vista Guardian 2010 should never be purchased as it is a useless application.
