Description pop-ups are a cyberattack based on deceptive social engineering techniques. Its purpose is first to trick users into subscribing to browser notifications from an unsafe website, and then flood them with unwanted advertisements straight on their desktops. Unsuspecting users get redirected to potentially hazardous websites like by other similar pages or pop-up messages generated by an adware program installed on their computers.

Whenever a user visits, the page shows the following error message: wants to Show notifications

Click Allow to confirm that you are not a robot!’ aims to persuade the users that they need to click on the “Allow” button to continue using the website. However, by hitting the button, users actually give the unsafe tool permission to send them advertising content directly to their phones or computers. All banners, advertisements, and pop-ups shown by could contain corrupted links or scripts that may lead to highly damaging malware being installed on users’ computers.

If you have subscribed to notifications accidentally, you can delete the permission from the browser’s settings. However, if you keep seeing annoying advertisements, you should check your PC for adware or other malware threats with a reliable anti-virus program.
