Virus.Selfish.B is a virus that can proliferate via spam email attachments and enter affected Windows PCs stealthily. Virus.Selfish.B disguises itself on the corrupted machine; therefore, it is hard to find and uninstall by many security software. Virus.Selfish.B may sensitive details form victims such as login data and transfer them to a remote server. Virus.Selfish.B can make modifications to registry entries, delete files, show bogus pop-up warning messages and create ports that link to external servers. Virus.Selfish.B can compromise legitimate Windows processes, corrupt HTTP protocols, make modifications to Firewall and other security applications that could help to find and eliminate the malware threat.
